Femi Taiwo, Executive Director

Femi currently serves as the Executive Director of LEAP Africa- Nigeria’s foremost youth leadership development organisation. In this role he oversees the administration, strategy implementation and programme delivery of the organisation. Prior to this position at LEAP,  Femi was the founding Executive Director of Eagles HOPE Foundation, a non-profit initiated by the Covenant University Alumni Association, where he led the organisation to create and execute award-winning youth programmes. Femi has worked in GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and spent a year at a social research consultancy in the United Kingdom.

He has extensive skills in programme design and management, learning & development design and delivery, business development, strategy, organisational development, stakeholder management, and innovation management. Femi is extremely passionate about leadership and enterprise development, youth development and youth-led development. He is on a personal mission of facilitating the transformation of individuals, organisations and nations.

Femi holds an MSc degree in Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship from Manchester Business School, where he focused his research on social innovation and entrepreneurship. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Covenant University, where he earned a first class degree in Computer Science.

Kehinde Ayeni, Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Relations

Kehinde Ayeni manages the organization’s Communications and Public Relations. She has over seven years’ experience in corporate communications, strategy development, corporate branding, public relations and digital marketing.

She is a Global Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK.  Kehinde earned her first degree in Geography and Education from the University of Ilorin and has a certificate in Advanced Skills Programe from School of Media and Communications of the Pan African University (now Pan Atlantic University) and a certificate in Sustainability Workshop for NGOs and Corporate Organizations from PAU.

Kehinde is an advocate for social good and promotes debates and causes on themes related to leadership development, social entrepreneurship, economic development and youth development.

Temitope Richard-Banji, Manager, Biz LEAP

Temitope Richard-Banji is the Programme Manager for Biz LEAP. He is passionate about Enterprise Development and strongly believes in the next generation as innovative change agents for Africa.

He is a graduate of Nottingham Business School, UK, where he obtained an MSc in Management and Investment Strategies. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Babcock University.  Temitope is an Associate Chattered Economist of the Institute of Chattered Economist of Nigeria and a First Line Management professional of the Institute of Leadership and Management, (ILM) UK.

Prior to joining LEAP Africa, he worked as a Management Consultant for BMC Global Services, Nottingham and RB Alliance Consulting, Nottingham. He has also worked as the Client Relationship Associate for Domestic and General Insurance, Wimbledon, UK and other financial institutions in Nigeria.

His core competencies are in Learning and Development, Organizational & Social Development and Management Consultancy. His vision is to become a world renowned Social Entrepreneur and Consultant for non-profit organizations as well as the entire value chain of the Development Industry.

Uchechukwu Ivoko, Manager, Accounts, HR and Admin

Uchechukwu Ivoko is the Accountant for LEAP Africa Ltd/Gte. She is an Accounting graduate from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

Uche’s career began as an Audit Trainee and subsequently as an Audit Senior at SIAO Partners, an indigenous firm of chartered Accountants where she led teams in Accounting and Audit engagements for companies of various sizes including Non-profit organizations, This enabled her her to acquire relevant Accounting Skills.

Uche began her career in the Non profit organisations at International Organization for Migration where she served as a Finance Analyst. She brings with her specialized skills and accounting knowledge as it relates to Grant Accounting, Donor accounting, Budget management and IFRS.

Uche has also attended several IFRS trainings and has a working knowledge of its application. She is very passionate about social development as it relates to young people who are the true leaders of tomorrow and she believes that young people and businesses in Africa can be impacted through developmental programs to become leaders and change our continent.

Femi Balogun, Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation

Femi Balogun is a leadership and development professional and leads impact measurement, research and learning efforts at LEAP Africa. His work supports the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks as well as research on interventions in the areas of youth leadership, employability, enterprise, and entrepreneurship while also supporting advocacy for strategic partnerships that promote youth transitions.

Prior to joining LEAP Africa, ‘Femi worked as a research and policy uptake consultant at the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), where he supported the management of research and establishing communities of practice around policy issues in parts of Africa in the areas of Social Protection, Youth Employment in Agriculture and Agro-processing, New forms of Social and political Action as well as Urban Governance. He also served as a visiting lecturer at Riara University, Nairobi where he taught International Human Rights Law and Practice.

‘Femi holds a Masters degree in Security, Leadership and Society from King’s College London, a Professional Masters degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos, and a BSc in International Relations from Covenant University. ‘Femi has 7 years private sector experience from the Banking and Telecommunications sectors. He is a fellow at the African Leadership Centre Nairobi/UK, a fellow at the International Peace Institute New York, and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs. 

‘Sogo Oyesode, Project Manager, LEAP Institute

‘Sogo Abiola Oyesode consults for LEAP Africa as Project Manager on the proposed LEAP Institute development. He is a registered Architect with vast experience in Architectural Consultancy Services, Pre and Post Contract Administration, Construction Supervision and Project Management Services. He has designed, supervised and project managed various high and low profile construction projects.
He holds a first and masters degree from the Federal University of Technology Akure and the University of Nigeria Nsukka respectively. He also holds a diploma certificate in Project Management from Jeman Consulting Institute, Abuja. ‘Sogo is a full member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and the Society for Monitoring and Evaluation Nigeria (SMEAN).
He is an advocate for an organized and sustainable built environment.

Chiamaka Oguonu, Senior Programme Coordinator, Youth LEAP

Chiamaka holds a Bachelors’ degree in Economics from the University of Abuja and a Master’s degree in Development Economics and Policy from University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

Prior to joining LEAP Africa, she worked as a Senior Associate in the Management Consulting practice of KPMG Advisory Services where she specialized in business strategy articulation, business plan development, market research/ feasibility studies, business diagnostics, organizational transformation, cost optimisation and customer service advisory.

She’s a certified project management professional with experience in coordinating nationwide projects and leading dynamic multicultural teams. Chiamaka has volunteered in various capacities in line with her major causes of interest – youth employability, education, business startup advisory and enterprise development. She is also passionate about social impact assessment of development/national policy.

Chiamaka is a member of the Project Management Institute International. Her career aspirations are to stir African youth to creatively seek solutions to social challenges and to help build sustainable businesses.

Yewande Apatira, Programme Coordinator, Youth LEAP

Yewande Apatira coordinates LEAP Africa’s Youth Leadership Development programmes for students in secondary school, and members of the National Youth Service Corps.

She recently transitioned into the development sector from the health sector and has been able to adapt quickly due to her commitment to learning, leadership development, and the growth of Africa.

Yewande can be described as a Protagonist who puts her head (mind), heart and hands into causes she is dedicated to. She is on a mission to equip and empower women and youth in Africa with life and leadership skills, as well as create opportunities for them to access platforms and pathways that will result in personal, community and national development.

Yewande is a graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy degree.  She recently graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Doctor of Physical Therapy where she received scholarships recognizing her leadership skills, as well as the Most Outstanding Physical Therapy Student in the State of Missouri Award and the Director’s Award.

Daniel Emenahor, Programme Officer, Youth LEAP

Daniel Emenahor is a youth and social development professional with experience and interest in Youth leadership interventions and School to Work transition for youth. He currently works as a Programmes Officer at LEAP Africa – Nigeria’s foremost non-profit organization focused on youth leadership development. In his role, he implements several leadership – educational programmes in secondary schools across Nigeria and trains teenagers and young adults on LEAP’s leadership and life skills curriculum. He is experienced in project management, stakeholders engagement, monitoring & Evaluation, Programme Design and Training Delivery.

Prior to this position at LEAP Africa, Daniel worked as a business analyst in a financial technology firm where he developed a seamlessly integrated process for a peer-peer ridesharing transportation network company. Daniel also served as a campus youth leader as an undergraduate student.

Daniel is a graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. He also holds a certificate in Non-Profit Leadership Management from the Lagos Business School. He is passionate about people development especially in youth by providing the skills needed for personal transformation and excellence in their field.

Taiwo Olaniyan, Programme Coordinator; Biz LEAP

Taiwo Olaniyan is a Development Professional with keen interest in Social Enterprise Development and Innovative Entrepreneurship for private and non-private sector organizations. She is presently the Programme Coordinator for Biz LEAP and is passionate about fostering an enabling environment for SMEs as well as Entrepreneurship ecosystem growth and development in Nigeria. Her key competencies include Policy Analysis, Project & Programme Management, Business Growth Support and Multi-Stakeholder Team Management.

Taiwo holds a M.P.A. from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen Scotland and a first-class honours undergraduate degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Florida Memorial University, Miami Florida U.S.A.

Taiwo also bagged several academic awards such as National Dean’s List, Who’s Who Among Students In American Colleges & Universities and has been a recipient of several meritorious scholarship awards such as Tom Joiner Foundation Scholarship, UNCF/Target Stores Scholarship, Aberdeen Business School Merit Based Scholarship, to name a few.

Her career aspiration is to lead young African Entrepreneurs into developing their full potentials.

Femi Abraham, Programme Officer, Youth LEAP

As a Programme Officer, Abraham designs and implements leadership-based programmes undertaken by the organization. Femi Abraham has worked as a business development analyst with Sams & Wright Consulting, where he developed market research report, strategy frameworks and pitch decks for businesses operating in the Asian and African markets. He has also worked as a power/communication network analyst at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport.Abraham served as the Editor-in-chief of the NYSC Editorial board and has led a couple of young, dynamic and social impact-driven group as an undergraduate student.

He is a 4-year MTN Foundation scholarship recipient. He was also among the 5 Nigerian students that qualified for the CERN-Geneva OpenLab contest. He won the Dr. Femi Oyewole Prize Faculty prize upon graduation.

Abraham holds a First Class degree in Physics Electronics from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, and also finished top of his class & Faculty. He holds a certificate in management from the Lagos Business School. He is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies for social impact in Sub-saharan Africa. Femi brings with him reliable skills in social innovation management, research development , strategy development & implementation.

Joy Amanabo, Project Officer, Youth LEAP

Joy Amanabo is the Project Officer for the iLEAD Fellows Programme in Akwa Ibom State. She holds a masters degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan where she focused her research on youth development and nation building. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Ilorin.

Having volunteered in the development space with organizations such as Sexual Offences Awareness and Victims Rehabilitation (SOAR) Initiative and Building Blocks of Peace Foundation, and as an International Citizens Service (ICS) alumnus, she was worked with youth on Youth Development, Gender-related and Peace Building programmes in communities across Nigeria.

Joy is highly driven and passionate about service to humanity and community development. She believes in a world without chaos or violence, and advocates for global peace.

Adenrele Owoyemi, MERL Intern

Adenrele Owoyemi is a graduate of University  of Leeds where she obtained a Masters in Statistics with Applications to Finance, she also holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Mathematics from Covenant University. She has worked in several places which includes Nigerian Breweries, as a Sales Analyst; Cashcraft Assets Management, as a Customer Service Representative; and Greensprings School as an Assistant Teacher. She posses adequate analytical problem-solving skills.

Adenrele is an ardent believer of making positive impacts in the community and seizing every opportunity to learn new skills. She is also passionate about arts and photography.


Toluwani Oshowo, Procurement and Finance Officer 

He is a graduate of Coventry Business School, Uk, where he obtained an MSc in Accounting and Financial Mangement. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Services and  Investments from Coventry University. He is an Associate  Chartered Banker of The Chartered Institute of Bankers of  Nigeria.

Prior to joining LEAP Africa, Toluwani worked as a Business Analyst Intern for Aeristech Ltd, Warwickshire UK and an Administrative Assistant for National Grid, Warwickshire UK. He was Customer Service Officer for Ketmot Oil Ltd and  Etisalat Nigeria.

Toluwani is passionate about education, youth orientation  and capacity building, he also holds a Postgraduate Diploma  in Guidance and Counselling from University of Lagos,  Akoka.

Sarah Ani, Human Resource Officer

Before joining LEAP, Sarah Ani has worked as a Human Resource Officer at GIL Automations and as HR Generalist at Ofserv. During this period she gathered vast and valuable experiences in HR Management & development, Operations Management, and Quality Management. She also has previous experience as a Facilitator, where she trained young people in Project Management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) during her NYSC days.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Lagos, and has  gone on to further her studies in Managerial Psychology with a focus on Organizational Development, Leadership and Human Resource Management.

She is passionate about helping in the development and empowerment of youths to discover and utilize their true potentials.

Deborah Falayi, Front Desk Officer

Deborah Falayi handles customer relations and service in her role as Front Desk Officer at LEAP Africa. She holds a National Diploma in Mass communication from the Lagos State Polytechnic in 2016 and has experience working as Secretary on her previous employment at Estymay Joint ventures. She spends her time educating young people in her community on Leadership.
