LEAP provides ongoing support services to its beneficiaries for at least two years after they have graduated from its core programmes. With a robust and large network of business and youth alumni that have participated in LEAP’s leadership programmes over 10 years, many of these beneficiaries share the impact of the trainings in their personal, professional and organizational lives.

LEAP maintains relationship and engages its beneficiaries even beyond the 2 years period and actively seeks out opportunities to enrich their business and initiatives. Segun Shetan is an alumnus of LEAP through the Youth Leadership Programme and was among the 10 Award recipients in 2007 for his initiative, Bright Youth Organization. Innovation Summit and Mentoring Programme with Youth African Leaders .
Young African leaders from 62 Nations on the continent met in Washington DC as part of the USA President’s initiative for African youth at Innovation Summit and Mentoring Programme in June 2012. LEAP’s Awardee and Alumni, Shetun Shetan was one of the young delegates at the programme who were cautiously selected from outstanding youth across Africa for their potentials.
The youth mentorship programme is a three-week workshop and internship programme that is geared towards developing young entrepreneurs’, who would bring greater opportunities and prosperity in their society. It aims to empower the young African leaders who are high fliers and achievers to move Africa from looking at their challenges to seeking out solutions.
Some of the major ways to attaining these heights in the different countries requires utilizing technology and media to advance innovation, messaging & branding, building capacity across sectors and providing opportunities for public- private partnership.
Segun describes his experience at the Youth Exchange Programme as awesome based on the profound effect it had on him. He reports that, ‘the program has influenced me positively by thinking about ways to implement social change in my society and improve my work ethics’.
