About LEAP

Since its inception in May 2002, LEAP has successfully launched programmes for entrepreneurs and youth in twenty six cities including the FCT in collaboration with non-profit organizations and leading financial institutions.

We offer a range of training programmes for youth, business owners, social entrepreneurs, managers and public officers. Areas of training include life and employability skills development, personal and organizational leadership, governance, business ethics, succession planning and talent management. These programmes have enhanced the life and leadership skills of over 30,000 youth, business owners and social entrepreneurs. LEAP is committed to equipping these critical stakeholders with the skills, tools and support that they require to serve as change agents. In turn, many of LEAP's beneficiaries have initiated high-impact change projects in their companies and communities.

Our core programmes include business and youth leadership trainings for entrepreneurs and youth across Nigeria and Africa. Youth Programmes includes:

  • Social Innovators Programme and Awards (Annual Nigeria Youth Leadership Awards)
  • Youth Leadership Programme
  • Integrity Institute

  • Leadership, Ethics and Civics Programme
  • Leadership for Health

LEAP provides leadership awards to youth and pioneered training on ethics, through its Integrity Institute in five cities.  In addition, in 2008, LEAP launched its Leadership, Ethics and Civics (LEC) Programme for secondary school students in collaboration with the State Ministries of Education in Anambra, Lagos and Ogun States and the programme was extended to Taraba and Edo States in 2010. The Business Leadership Programme and CEO’s Forum are programmes for the Nigerian entrepreneur and chief executives in private, public and social development sectors. Recognizing the need to provide management and leadership skills required for indigenous and small business enterprises to thrive in the second and third generation, LEAP launched its Business Leadership Programme in 2005. The CEO’s Forum provides a unique platform for LEAP to expose business owners and chief executives in private, public and social development sectors to the importance of planning for their succession and instituting effective systems and structures, and values within their organizations to ensure long term sustainability.

This research serves as the basis for our innovative curriculum. To date, LEAP has successfully published eight leadership books that have received endorsements from local and international leaders and professionals working in related fields.
