7th CEO's Forum and Book Launch

Launched in 2005, the CEO's Forum exposes business owners to the importance of planning for their succession and instituting effective systems, structures and values within their organization, to ensure long term sustainability. It is one of LEAPs approach to promote wealth creation, employment opportunities and economic development across Nigeria.

On May 24, 2012 LEP held the 7th CEO's Forum and Book Launch. At the forum, five seasoned local and international speakers with wealth of experiences in Human Resources from a variety of industries aptly discussed the theme "Addressing the CEO's Human Resources Challenge". Guest Speakers were Mr. Tosin Runsewe; Chief Client Officer, Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc; Mr. Chidi Okoro, MD GlaxoSmithKline Nigeria Plc.; Mrs. Nike De Souza; Managing Director, People Temp Limited; Mr. Rob Mollien; Entrepreneur, Netherlands and Mr. Emiel Lensen; Psychology, Perception Expert, Netherlands.

The welcome remarks was given by LEAP's Board Chair, Mrs. Yemisi Ayeni, MD Shell Nigeria Pension Fund Administrator Limited.

The event also provided LEAP with the opportunity to launch its sixth publication; Attract, Motivate and Retain Top Talent. This easy-to-read book and first in the LEAP mini-series was presented by Ms. Isioma Ogodazi, LEAP Board Member and Director, Human Resources, Stanbic IBTC.

A significant highlight of the event was the official unveiling of LEAP Africa's 10th Anniversary logo to commemorate the organization's decade of leadership development in Nigeria and Africa.

To date, the CEO's Forum which fosters the exchange of ideas and best practices, have attracted over two thousand and five hundred (2500) business owners, chief executives, directors, managers, as well as leaders in the public and non-profit sectors.

International renowned business man, Mr. Doug Smollan, Chairman, Smollan Group and Mr. Martin Woolnough, MD, Nestle Nigeria were speakers at the 6th CEOs Forum. Also at this forum, LEAP launched its fifth leadership book, Passing the Baton which was reviewed by Mrs. Fola Laoye, Chairman/Group Managing Director, Hygeia Group.
