Build a Toilet, Save a Life
Gbolahan a LEAP Youth Leadership Programme participant was concerned about the sanitary conditions in Adavi Local Council of Kogi State, Nigeria. Consequently he initiated “Build a Toilet, Save a Life” project aimed at reducing the high rate of occurrence of diarrhea and cholera in Zariagi community, Adavi, resulting from poor hygiene.

Through the construction of UNICEF Model Sanitary Platform Latrine, “Build a Toilet save a life” in addition to meeting the 7th Agenda of the UN Millennium Developmental Goals, which is to ensure environmental sustainability, improves the rural sanitation and hygiene for over 20 households and others in the neighboring villages.
